A collection of objects, the cultural heritage of a local community, was born in Cascine Mirani. This is the Magazzino dei Ricordi (Warehouse of Memories) born thanks to the will of Virgilio Bruni, a citizen of Zavattarello, and to the collaboration of those who have contributed to the collection of objects.
An exhibition recounting a century of traditions
A collection that brings together more than a century of tradition through the reconstruction of emblematic environments such as the peasant's kitchen, the tailor's room, the barber's shop, the school, and the craftsmen's workshops of the past, such as the shoemaker's, the blacksmith's or the farrier's shop.
Hundreds of items are on display, offering a clear vision of the history of manual labour and human effort, as well as scenes from family life. An ancient world whose memory must be preserved.
The Magazzino dei Ricordi is a real journey through time and the traditions of the mountainous Oltrepò, taking young and old by the hand and helping them to retrace, even if a little nostalgically, a past of rural and artisan culture.
